Fuel Cards
We use a company call fuel genie which allows us to get fuel from 3 of the major fuel stations Tesco Morrison’s & Sainsburys. Please remember that this stations usually close around 10:00 pm and are sometimes not open during bank holidays such as Christmas and New year.
If you are booked out in a ambulance during times where the supermarkets sites are possibly closed the vehicle will need fuelling the previous day. As a good rule of thumb, it is always best to return to base with a full tank of fuel in the ambulance to prevent issues for the following days crews.
Should you find yourself in a situation where you need to use an alternative fuel station you will need to use your own bank card and the money will be reimbursed once your receipt has been received, you can send an image of this to control@cartelloambulance.co.uk
